I am thrilled to share the eighth round of exploration in the *Elemental Energetics of Tea* a 6-class foundational exploration of the elemental components of tea ceremony with the intention of empowering YOU to begin a daily practice of your own <3
Connecting with the medicine of tea through daily practice allows for an opportunity to experience the vast potential that lies within. When we sit for tea in ceremony, we are silently affirming to Life that we believe in our worthiness to shine, to feel and be fulfilled, and that we desire to know ourselves better.
In this 7-class series, we will dive into the elemental aspects that build the foundation of starting your own tea practice. We will be discovering and delighting in the seven genres of tea, the history of tea, the esoteric and shamanic undertone of the ceremony, how each element lives and breathes within us and lends to the sacredness of the healing space we co-create with tea. This will be an experiential educational journey that will serve as a basis for your own budding personal tea practice and for future more intermediate courses I will be offering.
Each class includes meditation, a tea ceremony (each ceremony we will explore a different type of tea), an in-depth exploration of the element of the week, how this element influences ceremony, time for q&a, and homework to cultivate depth in your personal practice!
You must complete all 6 classes to receive certification. You must complete all of the homework assignments and show sincere dedication to your practice in order to receive certification.
Ashley Smith has been a student of the practice of tea for over 9 years. Studying with multiple masters and teachers from Taiwan, China, Malaysia, and the United States. She draws upon the teachings received from her vast studies and travels, while weaving her intuitive understandings of the energetics of the ceremony and the elements that comprise this ancient practice.
This round the teachings and learnings are more in-depth, as we are training for students to be ready and able to hold space and share at Pillar of Light with integrity, powerful presence, and grace.
Private courses are offered for students who want a more intimate exploration of the energetics and how they can support their awakening. Private lessons are $500/day and completion of all 6 classes are necessary to receive certification.

Pricing is:
$2800 when paid in full,
$800 non-refundable deposit is required and payment plan options are as followed:
3 payments of $735, or 5 payments of $470.
Deposit must be paid up to 14 days prior to 1st weekend of classes.
Dates for payment plans are setup before class begins and total tuition is due before final class.
Makeup classes are $375. Payments can be made via zelle, cash or venmo.
Tuition is NONREFUNDABLE + NONTRANSFERABLE
Payment includes binder and handouts, one 30-minute optional call with Ash in between class weekends to answer any questions, $10 off group tea events at Pillar of Light while school is in session, 20% off private tea sits and coaching with Ash while school is in session. You will receive 10% discounts on all tea purchased on the days of class.
Additional materials for tea practice will be required to purchase as we progress through the course- bowls, tea pot, burners, and things of that nature.
Classes are held on Saturdays + Sundays, every month over a 4 month period. Classes last approximately 5-7 hours and light organic snacks will be provided. Homework such as written assignments, readings, meditations, and a daily tea practice are mandatory to be considered for successful completion.
If you are a returning student, you can audit classes for $250/class.
